Dedication of Special
Education Classroom
Members of the CUPS board recently attended the dedication ceremony
of a special education classroom at the USAER 95 school in the
Colonia Arco Iris in Valle Hermoso. CUPS was a major
contributor in building this new classroom along with other groups
including parents, Valle Hermoso politicians who helped with the
tile floor and the school's principal who donated an A/C unit.
Attendees were met by teachers, students, and the principal,
followed by photos, dancing by students, and a wonderful tamale lunch.
There was a ribbon cutting ceremony at the door to the new
classroom shown below. Cubicles still need to be added to the
classroom but the students are grateful to have such a nice room
for their classes.

Project Work Remains
Strong
Fidencio
continues to remain busy with projects funded by CUPS and supported
by the local communities. CUPS recently completed the Guadalupe
Victoria shelter and Empalme Clinic roofed shelter. In
addition, Fidencio has scoped out a new project at the JN Carmen
Ramos del Rio school. Board members were able to visit the site
during the recent trip for the dedication of the classroom. The
school wants to build a small shelter at the entrance gate to the
school. This would be about 10 ft. x 16 ft., with 4 walls and
2 doors, and would just be used to shelter students from cold
weather or rain when parents drop them off or pick them up after
school. Your continued support of CUPS make all of these projects
possible.
